Meet Amelia Colomb
Ms. Colomb areas of practice include Litigation, Real Estate, Estate Planning and Municipal Finance. Ms. Colomb represents political subdivisions in litigation matters. In addition, she provides counsel to entities on matters involving real estate transfers and related issues.
Ms. Colomb has extensive experience in the area of education, as she has worked as an elementary school teacher. In this role, she organized and implemented an instructional program that resulted in students achieving academic success in the principal content areas. She previously served in the Louisiana Teaching Fellows Program as a Fellow. As a Fellow, she participated in training seminars and other sessions involving the improvement of the teaching experience.
Ms. Colomb has also worked as a summer research assistant for the Louisiana Association for Public Charter Schools. In this role, she reviewed and revised the association’s handbook. She also studied and researched the development of a state charter school legal defense fund.
